Individual Fresh Packs

One Fresh Pod sachet about the size of a tea bag, placed within a box of fruit will keep produce fresh from packaging line to retail backroom. Various size sachets are available for reach-ins, commercial refrigerators and floral applications.

Ethylene gas is the ripening agent that occurs naturally in nature. The presence of ethylene gas causes fruits to ripen and decay prematurely and vegetable and floral products to wilt. Controlling ethylene gas levels after picking will extend the life cycle of your valuable commodities, allowing them to be held for a much longer period of time. While proper refrigeration and humidification slow decay, they do not prevent the production of harmful ethylene gas.

Fresh Pod products are composed of OMRI Listed Ethylene Control Power Pellets which react when they come in contact with ethylene gas. This reaction oxidizes ethylene gas converting the Power Pellets into manganese dioxide, which is an excellent fertiliser. Independent research Supports Fresh Pod claims

An independent study conducted in 1997 by the University of Davis researchers reported that the removal of ethylene gas is "critical to prevent concentrations that exceed the threshold of ethylene injury."
