Sainsbury's trial coming to an end

Sainsbury's trial coming to an end

In August last year, 10,000 households in St Edmundsbury were selected to take part in a trial, funded by Sainsbury's, to reduce food waste.

As part of the trial the households received a Fresh Pod - a sachet enclosed in a green pod which sits alongside fresh fruit and vegetables in fridges, proven to keep fresh produce fresher, crispier and tastier for up to four times longer whilst retaining essential nutrients.

The trial is now coming to an end and we are very interested to hear feedback from those who received a Fresh Pod - participants can go to www.westsuffolk.gov.uk/foodwaste and fill in an online questionnaire, and will be entered into our prize draw to win a year's supply of Fresh Pod.

To those who took part and found their Fresh Pod to be useful and would like to carry on using it, refill sachets and further pods can be purchased on our website at www.freshpod.co.uk/shop. Alternatively, if you are interested in tips to make the most of your food and reduce waste then visit www.westsuffolk.gov.uk/bins/foodwaste.cfm or go to www.lovefoodhatewaste.com
